A Career at a Standstill 

Living as a freelance video producer and photographer, Alberto found himself trapped in the endless cycle of temporary employment, always looking for the next gig to make ends meet. The lack of consistent income and the constant grind meant that he didn’t have the funds or the time he needed to do the things he dreamed of, such as traveling more and starting a family. 

“It’s difficult to live amid such uncertainty,” Alberto told us. “The hardest part was seeing that life was passing me by and I was stuck.” He knew something needed to change. 

Reinvention After a Decade-Long Career

After 10 years of working in visual media, Alberto was introduced to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) by a friend in the field and saw it as an opportunity to reinvent himself. He began searching for courses online, but most of them were extremely expensive. However, Generation Spain’s RPA program offered Alberto the opportunity to gain the skills he needed to make this career switch for free, with many added benefits he wasn’t expecting at first.  

“It was more than just a training,” said Alberto, “it was a profound experience that I’ll remember for the rest of my life.” Alberto cited the extraordinary people he met in his cohort, and the learning philosophies he discovered as the highlights of his Generation experience.

Endless Opportunities in a Growing Market 

Within a month of graduating from Generation’s Spain RPA program, Alberto already found a job, paying him a higher wage as an entry-level employee in the industry than he ever expected (or earned before). “I have an apartment that I’ve been slowly decorating, a car, and money for traveling.” He is now engaged to be married and has the stability to plan his future.
