In her career as an executive leader, advisory board member, and investor, Bhawna has worked across multiple high-growth and Fortune 500 companies to grow & scale platforms from 0 to 100+ million monthly users, led global expansion of products, steered multiple acquisitions and spearheaded innovation to drive user growth and engagement, delivering multimillion dollar revenue growth. In her role, Bhawna has successfully led multiple cloud transformation efforts and helped companies improve Risk Management posture.
As CTO at Okta, Bhawna leads tech strategy and vision for its Customer Identity product. Bhawna is responsible for delivering highly resilient service through its private and public multi-cloud environments serving billions of logins per month. Bhawna frequently connects with senior executives of Okta’s global customer base to build deep trust by delivering highly scalable, stable and secure products while staying ahead of the competition. Bhawna leads Okta’s voice and thought leadership on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and role of identity.
Before Okta, Bhawna was the SVP & CTO at Glassdoor, a worldwide leader on insights about jobs and companies built on the foundation of increasing workplace transparency, where she led Glassdoor's engineering organization and was responsible for technological innovation for a $400M+ online consumer business. Bhawna led global expansion in one year, taking Glassdoor products into Latin America, Europe, and APAC. Prior to Glassdoor, Bhawna held positions at Ask.com (an IAC company), Sybase (now SAP), and AT&T along with several consulting roles.
Bhawna is the recipient of Executive of the Year 2023 award by the prestigious Executive Women’s Forum (EWF). As an advisory board member at Observo.ai, Neythri Futures Fund, and few seed stage startups, Bhawna advises founders and investors on pitch, due diligence, and company strategy. Bhawna earned an M.S. in Software Engineering from San Jose State University, a Master of Computer Application (MCA) and a B.S. in Electronics from Gujarat University, India.
